Morgan Freeman set the Internet atwitter this week when he briefly fell asleep during a live TV interview alongside Michael Caine in support of their new film Now You See Me.

But, as it turns out, there's a perfectly logical — and awesome — explanation for Freeman's doze-off. Here's what the actor had to say in a Facebook post late Thursday night:

Regarding my recent interview, I wasn't actually sleeping. I'm a beta tester for Google Eyelids and I was merely taking the opportunity to update my Facebook page.

Now it all makes sense. And if you missed it, here below is the original video clip from Freeman and Caine's interview with Tacoma Fox affiliate Q13. Watch as he drifts off then quickly regains consciousness and tries to feign interest in Caine's rambling story about magic tricks: Read more...

Don't feel too bad for high school student Jake Davidson, whose viral prom proposal to Kate Upton was ultimately turned down. Instead, he walked into the dance last weekend with supermodel Nina Agdal on his arm.

In March, Davidson posted a YouTube video called "Kate Upton, Will You Go To Prom With Me?", which attracted nationwide attention. Upton, who couldn't make it, told Mashable she was starting to feel the pressure to make a decision: "I have to rearrange some things, but I hope it will work out."

Later, Davidson learned Agdal was interested: "It was set up by Inside Edition," he said. "Obviously, there was really only one answer to this." Read more...

The dynamic duo recently appeared on Tacoma's Fox affiliate Q13 for an interview session, but Freeman had seemingly reached the end of his rope. Watch the beginning of the video below to see him peacefully nod off, then perk up and try to appear interested in whatever dear old Michael Caine is prattling on about

Hopefully Freeman's grogginess here doesn't foreshadow audiences' reactions to the film. Either way, though, Now You See Me will be the source of least one awesome moment. Read more...
